Dr. Kimball’s husband is a retired Army Internist/Hematologist/Oncologist/Program Director and Commander.  They have three grown children, who are pediatric physical therapist, Army pediatrician, and Army helicopter pilot/West Point history professor/General Staff Officer. She enjoys playing with her five grandchildren, having interesting adult conversations with her children and their husbands and wives, playing flute and bells, singing in choir, walking, and taking trips with her husband, Dan. Her most exciting recent activities were a trip to China and Korea in 2001 (September 11, 2001 in Guilen, China!) followed by a trip to Tibet, Nepal, and Thailand in 2002 where she visited a Well Baby Clinic in Lhasa, Tibet and in 2010 a "Pharoahs Journey" trip to Egypt and the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany.  It was especially gratifying to see a unified Germany.  She especially loves caring for children with special challenges. Her favorite phrases are “opportunities to excel!” and “The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer!”
